I think the mimf forum has the L-00 plans. |

The MIMF plans are a nice set of plans but they are not an exact copy of a L-00 |

Side question, if I may. Does anyone sell body templates to trace onto top/back plates? I'd like one for each style. |

I did a restoration on one last fall. (I believe it was a 1934 but I'd have to check back with the owner on that). I took a pile of Jpegs and drew the outer dimensions, body and neck. I took pictures of the inside, best I could with mirrors etc, and now I'm also looking for an actual set of plans so I can get the bracing sizes. |

Bob S.--Good Golly! That should serve as a tutorial on how to measure a guitar! I hate to nitpick, but a couple of important measurements are missing (and ONLY a couple--very unusual): neck profile dimensions, and the distance of the narrowest part of the waist from the bottom (or top) of the guitar. Thanks for the info! Carlton |

Darin I don't know anyone off hand who sales the plexiglass templates. I did bring the idea up to Mark Kett as an item he could make and sell. He thought it a good idea and may do that at some point(when and ever he gets caught up) I know we had them at school and I had a friend make me one set for a cutaway. I may try to do some as I thik would be a good item to sell. Maybe not for the pro's, but for us others. Ones I have do the black lines for baces and little hole each end to put a pencil mark and then just connect the dot's |
Side question, if I may. Does anyone sell body templates to trace onto top/back plates? I'd like one for each style.
John Mayes is selling side templates so you might contact him. I purchased about 50 old laminate tops for about $1 a piece. I generally purchase my molds from John Hall and trace the pattern onto one of the tops and then extend the pattern by 1/4 inch. You can also pick up acrylic supplies pretty resonably at Freckleface.com to make clear templates. |

Stan, please let us know if you decide to start selling them. It would be great to have a source for that kind of template. I don't believe I have seen anyone else selling that sort of thing. |

I believe LMI sells quite a few templates made of Lexan. Here's the link: http://www.lmii.com/CartTwo/thirdproducts.asp?searchtext=tem plates&Submit=Search&NameProdHeader=Templates Also, John Hall told me last week that he would be glad to make any template I needed Tom H |
